We invite makers and small brands whose objects belong in the frame.
Sephari is a field guide. We find things worth putting next to a real story, then give them a buy path. We are not a warehouse, and we do not list everything.
If you make something a person can see in a photograph or a short clip and want to take home, we want to hear from you.
What we look for
- A real workshop or a small brand, not a catalog of lookalikes
- Goods that can ship to the country where the story will live
- Honest photos of the actual object. Video of the workshop or the object is welcome.
- No beauty, cosmetics, or perfume. We stay off that aisle.
How it works
- Tell us who you are and what you make, using the form below.
- If you already have a Shopify store, we connect you through Shopify Collective. If you do not, we list the object for you from a transfer sheet. You do not get a login to our shop.
- We write the story. You keep making the object.
Why makers use Sephari
Amazon
Their problem: you are a thumbnail in a price war. They own the buyer. Ads eat the margin.
How we address it: one object next to a real story, on a page we write. We send the reader. You are not bidding for the tenth slot.
Etsy
Their problem: handmade sits next to dropship. Promoted listings are a second rent.
How we address it: we do not list lookalikes on purpose. If it is mass, it does not get in.
Your own Shopify store
Their problem: a store with no visitors is a locked door.
How we address it: the journal is the door. The shop is the stockroom behind it. Your object sits in the white space of the photo or the clip.
Wholesale boards (Faire and the like)
Their problem: you sell to retailers and wait on terms. There is no consumer story.
How we address it: we sell to the person who wants the object, on the country site where that story lives.
Open vendor malls
Their problem: anyone with a login dumps a catalog. Your work sits in a feed.
How we address it: you apply. If you fit, we list you. You do not get a key to our admin.
